Game and Season Theme:

• Each FTC season has a unique theme or challenge. For example, the 2023-2024 season is called “FIRST® IN SHOW SM presented by Qualcomm”. It celebrates the intersection of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills with arts and design. Teams explore how creativity, precision, and innovation play a role in creating new experiences.

Timeline:

• The FTC season typically starts in early September with the release of the game details.

• Teams have from September to January for the design and build phase.

• Competitions can begin as early as October and run through April.

• During the build and competition season, teams meet regularly to compete and fine tune their robots

World Championship:

• Teams that excel in regional and state tournaments have the opportunity to advance to the FTC World Championship.

• The World Championship usually takes place in April and brings together top teams from around the world.
